Arts Micro-Grants

The Arts Micro-Grant program will be re-launching through the online portal in April 2020. Until the program is available through the online portal, we will be accepting applications by mail until February 28.

The $1,000 micro-grant supports projects initiated and directed by Indigenous artists and collectives (groups of three or more people) who have demonstrated commitment to their artistic practice.

Applicants:
• completed basic training in their field
• demonstrated their commitment to their art form
• working to develop their activities to a professional skill level
• any artistic discipline

The Arts Micro-Grant program is meant to allow artists and collectives in B.C to:
• respond to emergent opportunities and pursue new approaches
• create access to achieve their goals
• reduce barriers to artistic opportunities
• increase their skills, knowledge and professional development in all artistic disciplines

Individuals and collectives may apply for one micro-grant per fiscal year [April 2019-March 2020]. Applicants may apply for additional micro-grants after they have submitted their final report, one year after receiving their first initial grant. Applicants who have received a micro-grant are eligible to apply to other FPCC grant programs during the same year.

Please note: For the purposes of this program, the term “Indigenous artists” includes Indigenous status, non-status, Métis and/or Inuit.
