The Micro-Grant program assists Indigenous artists and collectives in British Columbia to achieve outcomes that respond to extenuating circumstances and emergent needs, as well as contribute to professional development in all artistic disciplines.

With grants of $1,000, this program will assist with projects initiated and directed by Indigenous artists and collectives (groups of three or more people) who have demonstrated commitment to their artistic practice.

Applicants will have completed basic training in their field, demonstrated their commitment to their art form, and be working to develop their activities to a professional skill level.

The Micro-Grant program is meant to allow artists to:
• respond to emergent opportunities and pursue new approaches
• create access to achieve their goals
• reduce barriers to artistic opportunities
• increase their skills and knowledge

Individuals and collectives may apply for one micro-grant per year. Applicants may apply for additional micro-grants after they have submitted their final report, one year after receiving their first initial grant.
Applicants who have received a micro-grant are eligible to apply to other FPCC programs for a different project during the same year. Applicants from any artistic discipline are encouraged to apply.

Applications for this program are accepted throughout the year and may be submitted at any time.
