Music Grants Deadline Extension

Indigenous Music Initiative Grants Deadline Extended to December 1, 2018.

Indigenous Music Initiative programs provide assistance and support to Indigenous music industry professionals. Recipients will  increase their skills and knowledge through advanced mentorship and training, gain experience within the music industry, strengthen professional relationships and enhance recognition and business opportunities within the B.C. music industry and elsewhere. This program is funded in partnership with Creative BC.

The Expanding Capacity in the Indigenous Music Recording Industry program will support emerging Indigenous recording engineers/producers and Independent Indigenous recording studios, currently active within the B.C. music industry, to engage in skill development and build professional capacity.

The Emerging Indigenous Music Industry Professionals program is for Indigenous professionals who have a demonstrated commitment to working in the B.C. music industry as administrators, managers, promoters, directors, agents, event organizers or presenters. Applicants will have completed basic training in their field (post-secondary education or other training/experience) and have a demonstrated commitment to advancing within the B.C. music industry.
