Apply to join our board of directors!

November 10, 2017
Are you devoted to strengthening Indigenous languages, arts and cultural practices? Are you a First Nations person who resides in British Columbia? If so, we encourage you to apply for one of three open positions on our board of directors.

Our goal is to assemble a group of directors with a diversity of ages, skills, genders, knowledge, problem-solving approaches, cultural heritage and geographic representation.

What We Need
FPCC’s governance committee has reviewed the board’s composition and strategic priorities to identify the list of competencies that we currently require:
  • information technology (IT) expertise
  • artist or artistic expertise
  • cultural heritage knowledge
  • fundraising / communications experience
However, even if you do not have these particular skills, we still encourage you to apply, as you may have other valuable attributes we have not considered. We also maintain a file of “waitlisted” applicants, as vacancies come up from time to time.

We are also seeking members from the following language groups to broaden geographic and cultural representation on the FPCC board. However, please consider applying if you are from a different language group.
