2015/16 Annual Report Just Released!

For 26 years, FPCC has provided funding and resources to communities, monitored the status of First Nations languages, and collaborated with organizations on special projects that have raised the profile of Indigenous arts and languages in B.C., Canada and internationally.
Our 2015/16 Annual Report provides information on FPCC’s key accomplishments for the past fiscal year with reports from the language, arts and FirstVoices departments.
Since FPCC began offering grants in 1991, the scope and breadth of our programs have grown steadily. In FPCC’s first year delivering funding, just under $775,000 was provided. By 2015/2016, that amount grew to $2,468,035 in funding to communities, groups and individuals.
Highlights from the departments for 2015/16:
- Language and culture projects funded: 82
- Total Language funding distributed: $1,591,035
- FirstVoices Apps now available: 14
- Arts projects funded: 77
- Total Arts funding distributed: $877,000
