New Language Funding Available!

The First Peoples’ Cultural Council is pleased to announce that the LANGUAGE NEST PROGRAM and the LANGUAGE REVITALIZATION PLANNING PROGRAM are now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 program year!

1. LANGUAGE NEST PROGRAM
B.C. First Nations communities and organizations are eligible to apply for up to $25,000 to support language immersion programming for children under five years old. Training on language nest strategies and good practices will be provided to up to three team members from each successful project. The training workshop will be held on September 15-16, 2017 in Kelowna.

2. LANGUAGE REVITALIZATION PLANNING PROGRAM
The purpose of this program is for communities to develop strategic and sustainable language plans to guide their language revitalization work. Applicants are eligible to apply for up to $20,000 to support their language planning projects.
